From the law library home page, you can navigate to every resource at the law school. We encourage you to investigate all the drop-down menus, ask questions, and get to know the resources available to you.

Navigating

Law School events, departments, academic programs, student organizations, faculty/staff and student directories, and more, are accessible via drop-down tabs along the top two horizontal menus on the library page.  The law school's home page can be opened from the Marquette University Law School emblem in the top left corner of the library home page.

General Library Services — located on the vertical menu in the left margin of the library home page, has links to practical information to help you with your work.

Catalogs in the left margin menu, click on Catalogs to find links for Marqcat, Marqcat Plus, Worldcat, and a selected list of other library catalogs.  

Reference & Research Services — also found in the left margin of the page, has links to study aid titles recommended for 1L courses, 2L & 3L courses, topical research guides, and more. 

You will also find a link to the Marquette Law Scholarly Commons, which is the digital repository for articles, programs, blogs, and journals produced by the students and faculty at the law school. We hope you will explore the repository early in your law school career. 

In the center of the home page is a list of the most frequently used primary legal materials and subscription databases. You may reach the full list of available subscription databases by clicking on the heading, Databases & Subscriptions, located on the right side of the library home page.  Please explore these links and databases, and ask questions of the reference staff.  We encourage you to become familiar with the law library collection early in the course of your studies at Marquette.
